Players like Anthony Davis, <a href=\"http:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/stephen-curry\">Stephen Curry<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/james-harden\">James Harden<\/a> and LeBron James are surefire first-round picks and also some of the top basketball players in the world. There's no stigma surrounding certain positions that require them to be selected at certain points of the draft. Players at all positions have the opportunity to dominate in fantasy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui-droppable\">Wi<strong>th the <a href=\"http:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/nba\">NBA<\/a> season starting in just over two weeks, let's project the top 10 guards, forwards and centers for standard-scoring, nine-category leagues and then go through a 10-team first-round mock draft. With each position, we'll also put one player under the microscope\u00a0who might be slotted higher than expected.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/games.espn.go.com\/frontpage\/basketball\">ESPN's<\/a> positional distinctions will be used, but the website sometimes lists players at multiple positions. He averaged 20.0 points per game despite using just <a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/butleji01.html#advanced::none\">21.6 percent<\/a> of the Bulls' offensive possessions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article_image article-image cf image-upload block-level\">\n<div class=\"article_image--body \">\n<div class=\"caption-overlay border-box\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"white-frame border-box aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/img.bleacherreport.net\/img\/article\/media_slots\/photos\/002\/236\/004\/hi-res-4a2df095e116564b012553901c6388e9_crop_exact.jpg?w=650&amp;h=433&amp;q=85\" alt=\"\" width=\"542\" height=\"361\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article_image-caption\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"article_image-caption\">Butler finds a way to put up great scoring numbers despite using relatively few possessions, which is a testament to his efficiency.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Not surprisingly, the 26-year-old Butler won the Most Improved Player award for his efforts.<\/p>\n<p>In new head coach Fred Hoiberg's sophisticated, uptempo offense, Butler will get the ball even more and in better positions to score. That was with only 32.0 minutes of playing time per game, too.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article_image article-image cf image-upload block-level\">\n<div class=\"article_image--body \">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"white-frame border-box\" src=\"http:\/\/img.bleacherreport.net\/img\/article\/media_slots\/photos\/002\/236\/012\/hi-res-35a8202e5581767601c81eb6f91379d5_crop_exact.jpg?w=650&amp;h=433&amp;q=85\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"caption-overlay border-box\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article_image-caption\">Lopez's injury history is concerning, but his underrated offensive game combined with a large role in Brooklyn makes him a potentially high-reward gamble.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In 2015-16, Lopez is the only intimidating inside scorer on the roster, and <a href=\"http:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/deron-williams\">Deron Williams<\/a> is now gone, freeing up touches for the 7-footer. Harden will cede some assists and points to new point guard <a href=\"http:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/ty-lawson\">Ty Lawson<\/a> and some rebounds to a healthy <a href=\"http:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/dwight-howard\">Dwight Howard<\/a>, and that's enough for Curry and his elite scoring and shooting to overtake him. Durant is an obvious injury risk, but he dominates in scoring, shooting percentages and threes along with solid performances in most other categories.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tier 2: Cousins, James,<\/strong> <strong>Westbrook and Paul<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old Cousins is in line for career numbers under George Karl and playing with pass-first point guard Rajon Rondo. LeBron has officially entered the &quot;chill during the regular season&quot; stage of his career, which means his numbers won't be near as gaudy as they were. Westbrook and Paul are <span class=\"spellcheck\"><span class=\"spellcheck\">inarguably<\/span><\/span> two of the league's three best point guards.
